Expertise, Reliability, Sustainability: Trust the UA

At the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, we pride ourselves on being a multi-craft union with members who are engaged in the fabrication, installation, and servicing of piping systems. Our local union, UA Local 441, represents the interests of Kansas UA members in the Southeast Kansas region, which includes Allen, Bourbon, Chataqua, Cherokee, Crawford, Elk, Greenwood, Labette, Linn, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson, and Woodson counties.

Our skilled and dedicated members undergo rigorous training and hold themselves to high business standards, ensuring that you receive the highest quality work when you hire a UA plumber or pipefitter. By choosing a contractor who employs local UA members, you can rest assured that your project will be completed with the utmost expertise and reliability.

Our Expertise

All UA plumbers and pipefitters go through an extensive five-year apprenticeship program that combines classroom education with hands-on training. This program equips our members with a strong general education in the trade, including core courses in mathematics, science, drafting, welding, and other pipe trades related courses. Furthermore, our members have access to numerous continuing education resources offered by the UA, ensuring that they are always up-to-date with the latest knowledge and training available.

Our commitment to excellence and dedication to delivering the highest quality work sets us apart from non-UA contractors and plumbers. When you hire a UA member, you can be confident that your project will be completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Reliability and Sustainability

In addition to their technical training, UA members are held to a higher standard of business practices. Our Standards for Excellence policy establishes strict workplace standards for both UA members and contractors, ensuring safe, efficient work practices and customer satisfaction. This policy ensures that you receive the best possible service when you hire a UA plumber or pipefitter.

Moreover, the UA offers training in sustainability practices and the implementation of sustainable products and systems in residential and commercial structures. Our members are trained in Green Systems Awareness, which has been recognized by the United States Green Building Council's Educational Provider Program. This means that our members are equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide sustainable solutions that meet the highest environmental standards.

Community Involvement

UA Plumbers and Pipefitters are not just skilled professionals; they are also active members of their communities. They live and work in the areas they serve, contribute to local businesses, and are involved in various community activities, churches, and schools. Furthermore, our members give back to the community through charitable efforts organized by the UA Local 441, such as the annual Heats On program, which recruits volunteers to service furnaces, light the pilots, and winterize air conditioners for those in need.

At the United Association, we believe in building strong, sustainable communities through our commitment to excellence, reliability, and community involvement. By choosing to hire a UA plumber or pipefitter, you are not only ensuring that your project is completed to the highest standards, but you are also supporting local businesses and contributing to the well-being of your community.
