CHC Companies, a family-owned and operated business, has been a leader in the mechanical contracting and service industry for over 45 years. Our story began in 1969, when three Nashville-based investors purchased Cookeville's American Heating & Cooling from Cantrell Brown. Since then, we have grown and evolved, always keeping our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction at the forefront.

Our History

In 1973, Garry Floeter was named general manager and acquired 25% of the outstanding stock, becoming the president of the corporation. A year later, the company's name was changed to Cookeville Heating & Cooling (CHC). Over the next decade, CHC continued to expand, eventually spinning off its services division into a separate company, Cookeville Mechanical Services. In the early years of the new millennium, CHC and Cookeville Mechanical Services reorganized to better define each company's focus areas, with CHC maintaining the commercial work and Cookeville Mechanical Services handling residential work.
