Our History

Charles Blackman, a skilled plumber, began his journey in the United States in 1913 when he first settled in Los Angeles, California. However, he moved to the Imperial Valley in 1917, where he established Blackman Plumbing. His commitment to quality workmanship, professional service, and fair pricing quickly earned the company a solid reputation in the region. Over the years, the company has seen its fair share of ups and downs, including the challenges posed by the Great Depression and the rapid growth during the Roaring Twenties. Despite these challenges, the company has consistently delivered top-quality services, expanding its operations and moving to different locations in the Imperial Valley.

In 1961, the leadership of the company shifted to Lester Blackman, the second generation of the family. He led the company through the decades, ensuring that the business continued to thrive and grow. In 1992, the company's leadership changed again, and it became known as Original Sid Blackman Plumbing, Inc. The most recent change in leadership occurred in 2022, when the company changed ownership to Michael Wickline, a long-time project manager. Despite these changes, the company remains committed to its core values and continues to deliver exceptional plumbing services to its clients.
