Business Details
We are a veteran-owned, family-operated plumbing business based in Rolla, Missouri, founded by Howard and Carol Flett in 1999 under the original name Flett Enterprises, LLC. For the first several years of operation, we ran the business out of our home and later our garage, building a local reputation for dependable work. In 2002, our son Scott returned to Rolla to join the family business, and Howard personally trained him in all aspects of plumbing, from foundational trade skills to job bidding and client communication. We hired Andrea Cowan shortly after Scotts return, and she played a key role in streamlining our business operations by implementing and training our team on modern accounting software, with her established practices still in use today. When we first opened, our primary focus was commercial plumbing, and we completed more than 100 commercial jobs in the Ft. Leonard Wood area alone between 2002 and 2010.
After speaking with industry peers on a 2006 business trip, we made the strategic decision to expand into residential plumbing services, adding dedicated service technicians to support this new offering. In 2008, we purchased our current shop location at 2020 Old Saint James Road in Rolla, where we continue to operate to this day. We rebranded to Flett Plumbing, LLC in 2012 to better align with our mission of delivering reliable plumbing solutions with a personal, client-focused touch. Today, Scott and his wife Melanie lead our daily operations, while Howard and his dog Shewbacca enjoy retirement after decades of building our business. We remain fully committed to providing top-quality, reliable, cost-effective plumbing services, upholding the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and customer satisfaction in every job we complete.
