Our History
Heffron's story began with Joseph Heffron, who founded the oldest mechanical contracting firm in Washington, D.C. in 1922. After returning from his World War I service as a sergeant, Joseph started the company in the second story loft of the carriage house behind his family's home at 12th Street and Independence Avenue, S.W. Washington, D.C. Over the years, Heffron has grown and expanded its services to become one of the top mechanical and plumbing contractors in the region.
